Valentine’s Day is always February 14. The counter above runs to 00:00 on February 14 using your device’s clock and time zone, then moves on to next year’s date as soon as the day begins. What changes from year to year is the day of the week, and that is what makes planning harder or easier.
Why the weekday shifts
A normal year has 365 days, which is 52 weeks and one day, so a fixed date moves one weekday later each year. When a February 29 falls in between, it moves two. February 14 comes before the leap day, so the jump happens the year after a leap year: Valentine’s Day 2028 is a Monday, but 2029 skips Tuesday and lands on a Wednesday.
