Count down to your next anniversary from any original date. See days remaining, years completed, and the exact next anniversary date.
How the anniversary countdown works
Enter the original date: the day you met, married, started a job or moved in. The tool finds the next time that month and day comes around, counts the days until it, and tells you which anniversary it will be. If this year’s date has already passed, it moves to next year. On the day itself the counter shows 0 days.
For an original date of February 29, the tool shows March 1 in years that are not leap years, because February 29 does not exist in them.

If you want an idea for each milestone, these are the common traditional themes, though they vary by country:

Beyond weddings
The same count works for any yearly date: a first date, a business founding day, a sobriety date, a pet’s adoption day. Pick the day, and the tool does the rest.
Put it on your Home Screen, repeating every year
- Install Left on your iPhone, open Ahead and tap Add a date ahead, then New date.
- Name it and set Starts to the date of the next anniversary.
- Set Repeat to Yearly, so the countdown comes back every year without being re-created.
- Save, then add Left’s Ahead widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen and pick the date in Edit Widget.
