How the deadline countdown works
Pick the exact date and time of your deadline. The calculator counts down to that moment in your device’s time zone, to the second. A short status line tells you how close it is: Deadline ahead when 8 or more whole days remain, Coming up soon when 2 to 7 whole days remain, and Urgent deadline when less than 2 days remain. When the time passes, it shows Past due.
Because it uses your device’s clock, set the time in the time zone you are in. If the deadline is stated in another time zone, convert it first. A deadline of 5:00 PM in New York is 2:00 PM in Los Angeles.
Work back from the deadline
A deadline feels far away until it suddenly is not. Turn the count into checkpoints:

Keep it visible

- Name it your deadline and set Starts to the date and time of the deadline.
