How the converter works
Enter an amount, then choose the unit to convert from and to. Every unit is converted through days using fixed averages: a minute is 1/1,440 of a day, an hour is 1/24, a week is 7 days, a month is 30.4375 days and a year is 365.25 days. The average month and year include leap years, so conversions that involve months or years are approximations. They will not match a specific calendar month or year exactly.

Because months and years vary in length. The tool uses averages that include leap years.
